Today my husband and I have been married five months. And, what a ride it's been. In those five months we've experienced the following:
- The best vacation ever (our honeymoon)
- His dad and stepmother's house being damaged in Hurricane Gustav
- Charity golf tournament I work on (and our bidding on too much)
- RCIA classes for me (he's my sponsor)
- Two reception ' parties celebrating our wedding in Baton Rouge (this is a tradition on LA to have a party for those not invited. Well, we had two!)
- Playing on a Kickball league (yes, you read that right!)
- My giving up two weekends for special events I worked on
- Thanksgiving at our house (I have a scar from this, I burned my arm on the oven)
- Scraping wallpaper of the wall (who knew this was such a task?)
- My first Midnight Mass
- Four, count 'em four Christmases
- First New Year's Eve married
- Painting the kitchen (it was more for me than him :))
- Replacing the kitchen faucet because it was leaky
- My getting laid off and now job searching
- All of his travel, although it's been less than before we were married
- My dad and his girlfriend announcing their engagement
- Both of our dogs being sick enough to need visits to the Vet (not at the same time luckily)
Whew! What a busy five months it's been! And, this doesn't even list the "normal" adjustments to living with someone and getting used to the idea of being married. (there are, of course, lots of little events there) I can't wait for what's next!

WOW! That IS a lot of stuff and a lot of opportunities for "growth" in your marriage! lol!
That list made me TIRED! Glad that you're enjoying married life so much. After 25 years of it myself, I can honestly say, there's nothing in this world as beautiful as sharing your life and times with the person God created especially for you.
You are cute as can be! I am sorry you have been through so much recently.
