A few weeks ago I started a new position at work. It's in the same department, Marketing, but it will have more exposure to our customers.
Although, due to some crazy circumstances I haven't actually been able to start my new position yet.
I know I was pretty unhappy for awhile and even thought about leaving, but something's changed. Maybe it's me and my deciding to be more proactive about my attitude or maybe it's that I now have a plan. I'm not sure what it was or if it even can be pinpointed. I've been quite a bit more vocal about my skills and how I would like to be developed and trained for my future and somehow I think it's getting through.
I've always thought it was important to toot your own horn, so to speak, but it's not something I'm very good at in reality. But, I decided that I was going to make a conscious effort to be more visible and I'm hoping it's payed off. (Or, will continue to do so at least.)
So, wish me luck as I juggle two jobs for a bit and embark on a new career adventure!

Glad I read this tonight. I"m in the middle of way too much and I love knowing that you've made it through and will be happier! You're amazing and will rock this new position!
