The Bean made her grand entrance into the world! Allow me to introduce Julia Marie:
She was born on Saturday at 10:05am. She was 6 pounds 2 ounces and 19.5 inches long. Pretty good size for her gestational age.
While her birth and the week leading up to it were nothing like I had thought it would be I'm pleased to say that she is here and doing better every day.
She was five weeks early and while that might not seem like much, she will be in the NICU for two to two and half weeks we're told.
I've thought about sharing my birth story, but I'm honestly still processing it myself. I never, ever thought I would go home from the hospital without my baby right there with me.
Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes you've said for us; it means the world!

Congratulations!! She is beautiful!! I will keep you all in my prayers. We actually were just able to take our baby girl home after being in the NICU for 60 days. She was born 12 weeks early. If you want to talk about it, please feel free to email me.

She was a great size given her gestational age, like you said. Our son was also 5 weeks early and he was only 5 lbs, 2 ounces.
