Oh, Hello

I seem to have forgotten that I have a blog, huh? I have been reading, and lightly commenting, but haven't felt compelled to write much lately.

What have we been doing? Well, it would be a lie if I said not much since it seems we've been quite busy lately. I hate to admit that I wasn't at all surprised to see that it's been a month since I blogged last.

What have I been up to? Well, other than trying to get ready for the baby we've been trying to stay cool in the Texas heat!

In early July we went to Chicago for the Dave Matthews Band Caravan Festival. I had my first Chicago style hot dog and it was quite tasty.

We toured Wrigley Field and bought the Bean a Cubs onesie. The husband is a big Cubs fan so we had to commemorate the trip with something for the baby.

We spent three very long, hot days in the South Side of Chicago at the festival. And, let me tell you it was still H.O.T. out there. Granted, I wouldn't have spent three days outside in Texas, but it did me in every day. I don't think I've ever been so dirty, either!

My mother in law also made me this cute maternity top and I had to take a photo to send to her so I could convince her that it fit. Here's the bump from a couple of weeks ago:

Granted, I look more pregnant now, but we don't have good light near any of our mirrors in the house so I haven't been doing bump photos. 

We also traded in my wonderful little Corolla for a bigger car that will now be the mom/ family car. And, let me tell you, the husband had to convince me to get on board with this car. It's much nicer than I would have ever thought to buy in my single days. And, while I do enjoy driving it, I'm still a bit overwhelmed by all the bells and whistles it has.
