Right now in culinary school we are in the middle of a five week study of different regions. This next week I'm to research and present about Morrocan cuisine. Admittedly, I didn't think I had ever had Morrocan food.
Turns out, it's a lot like Mediterranean in a lot of ways. Last night we ventured to Dallas to Medina Oven & Bar and had a very tasty dinner.
We each had a glass of Morrocan wine; I had white and my husband had red. We shared a starter of Harissa and lucky for me I didn't have to share the tasty olives (since he doesn't like them).
For dinner, I had the citrus marinated chicken and he had the scallops. We also shared a tangine of braised vegetables over cous cous. I love cous cous!
I think I might have to try some of these foods at home. Wish me luck!
