At what age do we stop believing these things? When do we become self conscious and care SO much about what other people think?

I hope she always believes those things. Isn't it terrible how we (as society, not us specifically) teach children the opposite?
And I love her hair, too. My sister has hair just like that - only much more and dark brown - and she hates it.
