Weekend Update

First off, welcome to my new followers! So glad you're here and I love comments. :)

This weekend went by entirely too fast. Friday we had our small group over for a fish fry and to watch The Passion of The Christ. My husband made the fish and it was such a hit with everyone. I even liked it. (And, I don't like catfish at all.) We had decided as a group to have our monthly social on a Friday night so we could watch The Passion together. Most of us had seen it, but it had been a very long time. I'm not going to lie, it was hard to watch again.

Saturday, I worked both shifts at out Junior League provisional project, The Glass Slipper Boutique. It was so rewarding to help girls find the perfect prom dress and accessories to go with it. We even had a seamstress on site to make minor alterations so their dresses fit perfectly.

After leaving the JL center, I rushed home to clean up and get ready for a couples shower for two friends of our. Our friends have been dating for a long time and they're getting married in April. You should have seen the house it was held in. O.M.G. It was near TCU and Colonial Country Club and it was a mansion! I'm not even kidding.

Sunday, we didn't do much. My husband's been fighting a pretty nasty cold and we were both ready for a day to hang out at home. We went to church and then to lunch afterward. I actually cooked a real dinner from my Robuchon cookbook. It was really good, but a bit time consuming.

Next weekend is Easter and it will be another busy one. We're hosting my family at our house for Easter brunch so I'm planning the menu. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a great time.... I just can not bring myself to watch that movie. I don't handle violence and blood very well.
