One of my favorite beauty products in Bare Escentuals. But, that wasn't always the case. I tried the mineral makeup many years ago when it first came out and was never truly happy with it. So, it sat in my bathroom and collected dust. I felt like I had wasted money.
Then in the Fall of 2006 I went on a business trip to Denver. While walking around after dinner one night my co-worker and I came upon a Bare Escentuals Boutique and she wanted to go in. Having used it before I wasn't shopping. But, the girl in the store asked if I needed any help and we started talking about how I had tried it but didn't like it and she suggested I try a different brush. Skeptical, I thought, "fine, put the makeup on me, but I doubt I'll like it."
Well, the brush she used made all the difference. She used the Heavenly Face brush, but about a year ago I switched the the Full Flawless Application brush and love it even more. You see, the brush that comes with it is just okay, not great and I'm convinced a brush can make all the difference. When I use liquid foundation I always apply with a brush and I get great coverage and finish.
I love that it has SPF in it since I'm lazy and don't always put on sunscreen. And, I'll admit that one issue I've had from the beginning was the ability to reapply during the day. Enter the Refillable Buffing brush. Love it! It's not messy and it's great for touch ups, (unlike the crazy compact they used to sell). 
As far as beauty secrets, one of the best things I swear by is pure shea butter. It's amazing for lips, cuticles, dry heels and even your hair. I'll put a bit in my hair if it's feeling dry and it gives great separation. 
That's really all of my secrets, not that they're really secrets. I'm pretty simple when it comes to products. I am a reformed product junkie and try not to fall for gimmicks anymore. :)What are your favorite products? Secrets?

I've been using Bare Minerals too for awhile, since I found out I was allergic to Mary Kay's mineral makeup. I have been feeling not-hot about it lately, like it's going on too heavy, maybe it's my brush?? I use a Sephora brush. Maybe I will try that brush you mentioned, I bet that will make all the difference!! Thanks for sharing!
