My new and improved kitchen

How did it get to be Thursday already? Sigh... whatever, on with the post.

Most of you know that we've been in the process of upgrading our kitchen. Luckily, this was all done while I was out of town on business so the impact was little to none for me. And, my husband was so great to handle it all while I was gone. Thanks, honey!

So, for your viewing enjoyment (believe me, the "before" is no pleasure) here are some pics.

Before (as a bachelor pad)
After
Detail of our new appliances. We went with GE Profile and upgraded to a gas cook top.
Detail of the granite and tile work. I was pretty picky about what slab we went with and what tile pattern we chose. I'm sure you can imagine. ;)
Detail of the window. The granite window sill was a total surprise to me and I loved it! My husband and the contractor thought it would look nice and decided to do it. I think it adds a nice touch.

I would like to have the cabinets and slate tile floors refinished still and I'm sure we will, but for now we're going to move on to a bathroom remodel we've had in mind.

It looks incredible! I love it and am saving this page for when the time comes for our kitchen renovation. Sadly, we don't have gas though (which means I can't stay in this house forever). :)
