Weekend Recap

I feel like I need another day today. This weekend was busy!

As you all know, the husband was in Atlanta all week at a class so it was just me and the dogs. (Who always miss him terribly.) He came home on Friday and we went out to dinner at one of our favorites, Fireside Pies. It was packed! There were several large groups so we had to wait for a while for a table.

Saturday I actually got up at 8a.m! I never get up that early on a Saturday unless I have to. But for some reason I was awake. So after our coffee I went for a nice long walk. Then I met up with a friend of ours to go shop here:

I got some really cute things. I finally found a blinged up fleur de lis shirt to wear on game days while the husband is cheering on the Saints. I also got some yummy dips that I’m sure I could make, but these just looked so easy and they were good! (Likely from all the mayo…)

Sunday, I had another work shift and man was it busy! I worked the League booth and every year we sell a coffee cake mix that people love. Well, apparently, as soon as you mark them down on Sunday afternoon things get quite hectic! So, I was pretty tired when I got home last night. Dinner was super easy. I made us Sausage, peppers and onion sandwiches that I toasted in the oven. It was quite yummy considering how easy it was.

We also watched Away We Go after dinner. It was very cute. I don’t think I’ve seen a movie like this before. I would recommend it. What did you all do this weekend?

That sounds like a fun weekend! We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the beautiful (and not very November-ish) weather! (It was 77 in Raleigh yesterday.) We went out for Mexican yesterday at On The Border. We watched the finale of Mad Men last night. Do you watch it? Take care, and have a good Monday.

I always feel like I don't get enough accomplished over the weekend - sounds like you are very productive! We used to have a Fireside Pies down the block from our house in Dallas and I miss it!

Sounds like a fabulous weekend!

I had a wine and knitting night with my cousin on Friday, ran lots of errands on Saturday and other than grocery shopping - spent Sunday cooking and relaxing. :-)
