More advice from the wonderful Tim Gunn. To catch the others go here.
- A slightly looser t-shirt looks younger and more chic than one that clings to every curve. Just make sure the fabric has enough drape to skim the body.
- If you are going to the trouble to keep your hair long, do not keep it perpetually trapped in a ponytail or top knot.*
- If it doesn't fit now, don't buy it! This is a one-way ticket to "full closet but nothing to wear" land. You, and your closet, deserve better. This dictum holds true even on vacation to places you may never visit again.
- Look for a pair of stylish sneakers to wear on the weekends, but not to the gym. These sneakers are for fun, not function.**
- Seasonally appropriate footwear is essential. s melancholy as the thought makes you, flip flops must be put away as summer ends. They should not be brought out again until June.***
- Leggings are not pants. If you are wearing a pair, make sure that your top offers appropriate coverage.
- There is no body type that does not do well with an A-line skirt.
- Think about tomorrow's outfit tonight. That way, in the morning, you'll remember to bring anything wrinkly with you into the bathroom to absorb the steam while you shower.
*I can post this (even thought I have short hair) since I used to do this when mine was long. The pictures are not flattering.
**I think this rings more true in cooler weather when we can't get away with flip flops.
***See above, but I have to disagree with June. I live in Texas for goodness sakes!

I love Tim Gunn. These are great tips, especially the one about a full coverage shirt with leggings. I wish everyone followed these fashion rules.
He's one smart man! Leggings show all your curves - good and bad. Plan accordingly!
Hmm... I do have to disagree with June for flip-flops. I say that anytime over 65 degrees is fair game for those suckers. :-)
Great advice, though you are right about the flip flops, especially in TX!
