My sister is such a great mom and wife and I have a lot to live up to in my opinion. She's never too proud to ask for a sitter for the kids so her and my BIL can have date night. In fact, she never has been, even when my niece was very little. And, she'll be he first to tell you she always puts her marriage first. You don;t hear that very often as most moms I know will admit to putting their kids first before their husbands. (She's so inspiring when she says the most important gift you can give your kids is two parents who love each other and I couldn't agree more.)
She recently had a knee injury and couldn't walk much less drive. But, being so organized the kids never had to miss a dance or karate lesson or birthday party. All of this while my BIL started a new job where he's been traveling for two weeks at a time. She's even organized enough that other can do her grocery shopping for her! Impressive, huh?
So, here's a shout out to my sister, who is also my friend and role model. We may not have always been friends growing up, but I'm certain we always will be as we grow older. Love you sis!
P.S. See her gorgeous curly hair? Yeah, I SO got a perm years ago trying to look like that. Didn't really work out that way!
