Where do I sign up?

So, I just wrote this really long post, walked away for a bit and came to realize it was probably too much information to share. So, I'll write instead about my newest venture I'm going to take on.

Golf! I've wanted to take lessons for awhile and my best friend plays. I've never been able to join her at her lessons because I was in a Toastmasters club that met on Tuesday nights. Well, since I don't work there anymore, I'm not in TM anymore, my Tuesday nights are free! And, now that it's getting warmer (Oh, who am I kidding? I live in Texas and the high is 90 today. It's getting hot!) I'm going to sign up!

So, now the search for a set of clubs begins. I'm going to buy used to begin with because I want to make sure I like it before I actually invest any money. Do any of you play golf? Do you have any tips for a newbie? I'm going to take lessons with my friend Claire who has been wanting to play as well. Just think maybe we can have girls golf day. (Assuming we like it, of course!)
