Weekend recap

Happy Monday to you all.

We had quite the end to the weekend as we discovered our hot water heater was leaking. We noticed the floor in the hallway was looking a bit more worn than normal and having wood floors we rarely walk around barefoot. (I don't at least. I can't stand to feel dog hair and dirt when walking around.) Well, hubby noticed the floor was wet. Surprise, surprise the tank was leaking. And likely has been for days! He turned off the water supply to the tank and that seemed to stop the leak. We're hoping a plumber can fix the line from the water supply to the tank and that we
don't need a new water heater.

So, I got a nice cold shower this morning and my sink is full of dishes just soaking in cold water. Nothing starts your day like freezing cold water. Needless to say I've been cold all morning. I truly can't seem to warm up.

We had a pretty uneventful weekend (as far as our weekends go). Saturday we skipped tailgating at Buffett since it was raining. (No, this girl does not tailgate in the
rain.) And, he didn't want to drive an hour each way to meet up with the guys. Who can blame him?

Saturday evening we went to a dinner party celebrating a charity golf tournament I was a part of. The couple who started it lost a child to SIDS twenty years ago and has held the tournament every year since then to raise money for the research and awareness. last year was the last year; they decided twenty years was enough. It's such a great cause and I'm going to miss working on it.

Church on Sunday and I was actually a little bit nervous that I wouldn't remember what to do for Communion. Mainly that I would forget what to say as I received the elements. But, I did good! It was nice to actually stay for the whole Mass this week. And, we had small group Sunday night.

Sounds pretty busy when you write it all out, huh?
