I had a very impromptu dinner party tonight! My cousin who lives in Houston is in town and her, her two kids, my mom, my aunt and my grandmother all came over for dinner. Luckily I had plenty of basics in my house! My cousin's daughter (my second cousin) was helping me cook. She had never made risotto so I decided to teach her since it's so easy. Being one of those dishes that requires a lot of supervision I thought it was a great task for a twelve year old to help out with. She loved learning how. I broiled some fish, made sweet potato fries and spinach salad. And, of course the risotto. It was delish! Even my five year old little cousin went back for seconds.
In other news today, well I don't really have any other news today. I've been sort of lazy! Go figure! I did go for a walk and get my laundry done, but that's about it. I watched a cute movie this morning, Fool's Gold with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. It was a totally hokey movie, but it was cute and I was entertained. Hubby wouldn't have liked it so it's good I watched it while he's traveling. Now, I'm about to turn on National Treasure. I love this movie. It's so much fun, all the clues and treasure hunting.
Hope everyone is enjoying Spring Break!

So cute! I wish I loved cooking!
I really like both of those movies. Your dinner sounds absolutely delicious!
National Treasure is a bit of an obsession for me! I never watch movies twice and I bought that one JUST to watch it again and again!
Hope your party went well!
