Who is everybody talking to?

Please allow me to vent for a moment....
Who is everybody talking to? I should let you know that I have a long commute each way to my office from home. This won't always be the case since we plan to move, but for now it is. That being said, I am amazed at the number of people on the phone at 7 in the morning! Who are they talking to? And, yes I look at every bad driver to see if they are on the phone and sure enough 95% of them are. If you must talk on the phone in the car please use a hands free or get bluetooth! I think I must escape an accident 3 out of 5 days a week because of this. I don't think I'll ever understand why people feel the need to see driving as "down time". Whew! Thanks for letting me vent.
Now, my husband and I are definitely not the types to call each other during the day unless it's important. In fact we didn't even talk every day until we were engaged I think. He travels for business often and so we don't talk much when he's gone due to the time differences. (We're in Texas and he often goes to either coast.) I guess we're weird, but then it's that much sweeter when he comes home! OK, I feel better now. Thanks!
