It's the Little Things

I didn't make any resolutions this new year. It seemed much kinder to myself to not set any grand expectations that I may or may not keep.

So, this year, I think I'll try to just be better at appreciating the little things.

Like, enjoying that my husband can make a good cup of coffee and does so on weekdays.

Like, the joy in my dogs when we come home. Even though one drools a lot, I would sure miss him if he wasn't around.

Like, being able to park in a garage when it's cold and rainy outside.

The fact that some of my pants are now too big. Even though I seem to be perpetually stuck between two sizes...

Having a great tailor to alter said pants.

Having culinary school classes on Tuesday nights now, which means I get my Saturdays back. This came in very handy last weekend when I was sick and could relax.

What are you thankful for? Let's all try to appreciate the little things a bit more this year.

Great list. I try to focus on the one morning a week I can sleep on. The fact that my child will always be willing to give me a smile, and that like your husband, my hubs always has coffee waiting in the morning. Thanks for reminding me that is about the little things!

This is so great - and reminded me that one of the things I want to work on this year is being more mindful to be thankful for the little things in life.

Thanks!
