This year, we will be hosting our Oscar party again. I'm calling it the "(Almost) Third Annual" because we missed out last year since I was traveling, but we're back!
And, boy do we have some movies to see to get caught up and be able to have informed opinions. Here's the list of what we haven't seen yet:
In order of priority...
True Grit (Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Cinematography, Director)
The Fighter (Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Director)
Winter's Bone (Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor)
127 Hours (Best Picture, Best Actor)
Toy Story 3 (Best Picture)
Biutiful (Best Actor - it's Javier Bardem people. And, I'm learning Spanish, How can we not go see this?)
Blue Valentine (Best Actress)
Rabbit Hole (Best Actress)
There are five weekends until the Oscars, which means we'll need to see at least one movie per weekend. Luckily, we can borrow Toy Story 3 from my sister's family (we did gift it to them for Christmas after all...). There are a few movies that I have seen that my husband hasn't*, but he has already seen The Fighter and 127 Hours. So, I'll be on my own for those.
Think we can do it?
*I watched three movies on my flights to and from The Netherlands. The Social Network, The Kids are All Right and The Town.

What fun!
I have a long list of movies to watch before the awards too. I've only seen The Kids Are Alright, The Town and Rabbit Hole. And I only saw Rabbit Hole because my cousin made me...her husband wrote the original play and screenplay.
