The following was my dinner:
Handmade mozzarella with heirloom tomatoes
Colorado striped bass with cucumber salad and crispy polenta
Fig "beignet" - I use quotes since it was stuffed and had been frozen. Real beignets aren't stuffed or frozen. But, this was very tasty...
The best part was the service. We ate at the chef's counter where we could see the kitchen in action (right up my alley). Our server was also very helpful. I ordered a half glass of vhino verde but just didn't care for it. (Sorry, TUWABVB and Kate, I tried it based on you both loving it, but it's not for me.) So, our server suggested an Albarino and I loved it! So much so that I've purchased two bottles since being home.
All in all, I would definitely recommend Rioja to anyone looking for a nice meal in Denver. Dee-lish!

Looks so, so yummy! Glad you had a good time!
So glad you enjoyed your dinner - and I'm excited to try Albarino - is that the type of wine? Is there a brand that you liked? Happy anniversary again!
That sounds like a delicious anniversary dinner! Thanks for your comment, by the way. That is a good suggestion. Does culinary school start next week? Good luck!
