Well, guess what? I got my very own red Plate for my birthday! It came a bit late (my Mom had to order it, they're kind of hard to find) but I'm so excited. My sister got one as a wedding shower gift and I was hoping for one then too. Now our family has its own to carry on the tradition.

The Red Plate
We have this tradition in my family. If it's your birthday or you do something great you get a special plate at dinner. Growing up it was a pretty big deal if Mom set the table with the Red Plate.
Well, guess what? I got my very own red Plate for my birthday! It came a bit late (my Mom had to order it, they're kind of hard to find) but I'm so excited. My sister got one as a wedding shower gift and I was hoping for one then too. Now our family has its own to carry on the tradition.

My mom is into painting pottery and made me one. It's not that exciting since I'm an only child, though.
Oh my goodness. We have the same red plate. My Grandma would always set it out for us at our special dinners. Then my Mom bought one too. Ellie got her own special birthday plate a few years ago. Remembering this plate makes me remember all the great birthday dinners we had as a family. Thank you so much for sharing. XOXO
