Assuming if course that my husband goes along with it. I'd like us to give up eating out for Lent and take that time and money to eat at home. I think it would be a good way to really pay attention to the time and effort it takes to feed us literally and spiritually. I think it might take some convincing on my part to get him to go along with it. You see, we're pretty big foodies and love to discover new places to eat. So, what are all of you lovely ladies giving up, if anything? Or, taking on for Lent?

Thoughts on Lent
As many of you know today is the first day of Lent. My husband was raised Catholic and I am currently in RCIA (for those of you who don't know its the process of conversion) so this is my first Catholic Lent. I've been thinking long and hard about what to give up or take on and I'm involved in so much religious education right now I'm not sure taking on more would be in the right spirit. And, seeing as how we've now been married six months I thought I would "borrow" and idea from a couple of other bloggers.

I think that is a great idea, very creative! This would be SO hard for me to do!
I will think of you during this season. I went thru RCIA 5 years ago. I'm kind of struggling with what to do this Lenten season. You're post made me smile and remember my path.
