Wonderful dinner

Tonight my husband made dinner; he makes this awesome chili that is SO good on a cold day. He makes it with turkey since up until we got married I was a pescetarian. (For those not familiar with this name it means someone who eats seafood, but no land animals.) I've slowly been adding poultry back into my diet so I could share dinners with my husband. I think it's so important to eat together and I really enjoy cooking, but not two meals every night! He, of course thinks this is a great leap forward for me and is waiting for the day I say, "Let's go get a steak." Not likely to happen as I think cows have sweet faces. But, for now he's happy with poultry and fish.

We had a wonderful dinner and are catching up on Oprah. Last week's episodes were so interesting. I'm glad we can live in a time where we can talk about all of this stuff openly- health, money, intimacy, spirituality. So refreshing that we can get it all out and not be too ashamed to talk about things that matter. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's important to be open and honest, especially with your significant other and your family.
