Treasured gift

Yesterday's post inspired me to write about one of our most cherished wedding gifts. My husband's step mother created this amazing cookbook for us. Here's what she did:
  • sent blank recipe cards to our friends and family asking for them to write out a favorite family recipe
  • she also asked for them to send a photo
  • organized all the recipes into categories and put them into a book for us
  • to top it all off, she scrap booked it with cute paper, stickers and quotes from all the family and friends

It's very special to us and we've enjoyed going through it to find recipes and read all the messages and well wishes from our family and friends. It's a gift we will always treasure!

Here's a couple of photos:

I love it! Now, I just have to make sure I can keep it clean when I cook!

Wow! What a great gift! I wish my mother-in-law would have done something like that for me! Although, I can't complain too much. She did buy me two recipe books. =)
