So, who else hates those POP labels at stores like Nordstrom and Dillard's? Me? I hate them. Especially for cosmetics.
Why? Basically, I got sold this makeup for apparently MUCH older women. (A consultant applied it and i was literally out of foundation.) But, the coverage was okay so I tossed the box. It wasn't until I used it for a few days that I noticed how bad it made my pores look.
Then I went to a counter looking for powder and mentioned I was using that formula. The consultant couldn't believe someone would have recommended that to me (since, I'm clearly not in my fifties). She said, "we want you to be happy, so bring it in to exchange it." I told her I didn't have the box or receipt and she said to bring it in anyhow. It shouldn't be a problem.
So, that's what I did. Only, three other consultants told me no. And, the business manager at this store was the opposite of friendly. Or helpful. In fact, she wouldn't even look me in the eye. I'll never buy from this Dillard's again. (And if you think I can't boycott successfully, I haven't been to Walmart since 1996.)
So, Clinique, I ask you this- Do you stand behind your products or not? Is Dillard's the problem here?
I mean, at this point I want to buy the foundation that just came out that I like, but if I can't return the other it seems wasteful. Not to mention a waste of money. You know?

I'd email Clinique's corporate support team. I would really like to think that they'd do the right thing and get you make-up that is actually right for your skin tone, daily needs, etc.
Oh that's annoying! Hopefully you can get it fixed. That's just crazy.
So frustrating!!
That is definitely annoying and unfair.
I'd definitely be ticked off. A little email directly to Clinique may do the trick...hopefully!
Is Clinique priced the same at Dilliards and Nordstrom? If so, I say buy at Nordstrom from now on if you have one near you. I've never, ever been told that I couldn't return something at Nordstrom. Just keep those boxes so they have the original tag!
