Geaux Saints!

I'm not a football fan. I didn't go to a "football school". I mean we had a team, and still do, but they aren't what you would call a great team. I grew up in Fort Worth and everyone is a Dallas Cowboys fan here. I've never liked the Cowboys. Maybe it's the attitude of the players. Or the arrogance of the management, but I've just never jumped on the wagon, never worn the t-shirt, never been to a game.

My husband on the other hand LOVES sports! Baseball is his favorite, but football is a very close second. Being from Baton Rouge he's always been a New Orleans Saints fan. And, every weekend he's watching the game, whether at home or a local Saints watching party.

And, even though I'm still not what I would call a tried and true a football fan, I feel like I can get behind the Saints, if mainly because of how they support their community and get involved. It's not just a bunch of overpaid athletes who don't connect with their city. These guys play FOR their city and I think that's awesome.

So, clearly we were watching the Saints vs. Vikings game and man, was it intense! My husband has been saying I needed the proper garb to watch the game and support the team so I told him, "If the Saints go to the Super Bowl, I'll get a jersey." Well, guess what this girl will be sporting today?

This little number*

So, without further ado... GEAUX SAINTS!!!!

*I picked Drew Brees since he's from Texas and I'm sure he'll be there next season as well. (I have to go on record and say that I was quite disappointed with the NFL's sizing chart for ladies as this is a bit snug on me. Also, I was hoping to get a black jersey and they weren't available, but I'll be putting a long-sleeved black tee underneath. )

Love the jersey! I need a cute jersey, although being from Cleveland - we are definitely not big NFL fans right now (Browns suck!) We are big basketball (CAVS) fans though! And I do have a jersey! Its awesome when you are a fan of a team that is actually doing well! :)
