Counting Down

We have quite a few things coming up that I'm looking forward to.

16 days until we're in Abilene, TX for my husband's cousin's wedding. Oh, what to wear...

38 days until Easter. I have considerable less pressure on my Easter dress this year than I did last year.

43 days until we go to Boston for the wedding of another cousin of my husband's. And, a vacation to Beantown and Vermont. Again, what to wear when I've heard it will still be chilly up north...

58 days until wedding number three which is some friends of ours.

65 days until the fourth wedding of this season of some other friends. Thinking this one will be a great party!

70 days until my birthday and 72 days until my birthday weekend in New Orleans!

Any suggestions on things to do in Boston, Vermont or New Orleans? I'm always open for ideas...

Wow! You have quite a busy schedule over the next few months! I'm impressed.

My husband and I are also going to New Orleans on a birthday trip, and I'm looking into some tours, restaurants, and other fun things to do. I have found opentable.com to be great for restaurants and you can drill down my price, neighborhood, etc.

There also some really cool city tours, haunted New Orleans tours, and post Katrina tours that you can find by just googling New Orleans.

Have a blast!

Wow! You guys are going to be busy the next few months!

We lived in Boston for about six months a few years ago and it is a fabulous place to visit! The food is to die for. If you like seafood, make sure you grab a lobster roll. You can get good ones basically anywhere; we never had a bad one. Also, if you have some time just to walk around, check out the North End and go to Mike's Pastry on Hanover St. Best pastries EVER. We loved to visit Faneuil Hall and check out all the stores down there - also they have some amazing hip hop street dancers down there on the weekend.

Wow, that's a busy schedule! Sara is right - you HAVE to go to Mike's in the North End. A duck tour is fun; you could walk the freedom trail; Fanuel Hall is always a draw. :-) I'm sure I'll come up with more ideas!

While in Boston-make sure you shop on Newbury Street. Also, try to visit Salem--it is very cool!

Lots of cute shops in Vermont, antique shops, cheese shops, etc. You could visit Ben & Jerry's.
