Well, it's official! We've booked our mini-break weekend to Atlanta. We're going at the end of October so hopefully all the rain will have drained by then.
We're going to be staying with some of my husband's family (we might get a hotel one night) that live just outside the city. I've heard the traffic can be a bear so we'll need to plan our days accordingly. We'll have a car and unlimited miles, compliments of hubby's work (we're going then since he's in training at Georgia Tech all the following week). I was kind of bummed that the air fare went up by more than $80 from when we looked last week, but seeing as we're only paying for me it's still a deal.
I've never been to Atlanta and it's been a looonnng time since he's been. What should we see? Where should we eat? Anything not to miss? He was hoping the Saints were playing the Falcons but no luck.
It's always so nice to have the next special thing to look forward to, isn't it? After Atlanta, we'll have Minneapolis in December to plan for. Brrr!

I just moved from Atlanta to Germany. I lived there my whole life and it is a great city! Where exactly will you be staying? Traffic shouldn't be too bad on the weekends! I know all the great restaurant and I am sure your friends do too. Check and see if anything fun is playing at the Fox! I got married there in March. Never been to Atlanta but I live about an 8 hour drive from Minneapolis and boy are you right- it is gonna be COLD in December!
