I've been working really hard on our house in the evenings and on the weekends. Between the redecorating (doing it myself) and the organizing I've been ignoring myself. And, when I'm at work I've been eating crappy lunches. Often because I've been running errands on my lunch hour and end up at the drive through and scarfing something down in the car. I think it's really taking a toll on my spirit.
And, I guess when I say my spirit, I mean my self-esteem, it's just that I always hated the "back to school special-ness" of talking about your self-esteem. Am I alone in this opinion? No? Good to know.
I think I'm really being angry that I've let my schedule dictate bad choices. (I am in awe of you mothers who can make it to the gym, look great and manage to not ignore your children!)
That being said, I'm implementing the following little things, starting today:
1. No more eating in the car. Drinking coffee in the mornings and water of course, but no more grab'n'go lunches. They're NEVER healthy.
2. I'm taking the stairs to my office from the parking garage. It's no longer blazing hot outside here and thus the stairwell won't make me sweat. So, the stairs it is.
3. I'm starting a daily multi-vitamin again today. This used to make me feel better and honestly, I only stopped taking them because I ran out. Laaazzzyyy...
4. I will eat breakfast. (OK, technically this starts tomorrow, but you know what I mean.) I'm SO bad about having my coffee only and then wondering why I'm ready to eat my arm by 11:30.
5. I will have only one adult beverage with meals on the weekends. (I'm trying to be
realistic here. I've tried having none, but it just doesn't happen. Maybe I'm a lush, but I think having one and truly enjoying it is better than two
These are all in addition to Weight Watchers, which I will keep doing. Let's hope the saying is true and it really is the little things that make big differences.
P.S. If you have any other small changes I can implement please pass them along. I've love to hear them.

These seem like very good changes. I have tried to be better about eating breakfast. My new favorite is granola with yogurt (Activia). Yum.
I've been thinking about doing the same sort of thing for myself. Just setting up some small goals and hopefully that will help make some changes. Good luck!
Love your list of small changes! I might have to adopt these for myself!
