So, if you know me, you know I've been wanting a pair of Cole Haan Air pumps for a loooong time. I do tons of walking and standing as an event planner and also love heels. I think they are much more professional looking than flats. Well, I finally found a pair I liked (some of the styles are too clunky for me) on eBay. It was a Buy It Now or Best Offer. So, I offered $99.99 for them and the seller accepted. The problem... they aren't black liked it showed in the pictures. So, I asked if they had a black pair to exchange. Nope. Now, I'm waiting on a response on if they'll accept a return. But in the meantime, I just can't justify spending more than $100 on shoes that aren't versatile and I'm worried I won't get back what I paid for them if I turn around and sell them on eBay myself.
So, I'll keep you posted, but I'm a bit worried about it since I'm trying to only make practical purchases. What would you do?

Sara, if they aren't what you thought you were buying - that's the seller's fault, not yours!! The ad did say black, right? If they don't accept a return, you could consider contacting eBay to file a compaint.
I don't like to complain... but there needs to be truth in advertising!
I agree, the ad should make it clear what you are buying. That is one of the things I hate most about eBay- sellers take advantage of buys by not telling them exactly what they are getting, or use clever wording to mislead and bring traffic to the item.
That is very frustrating. If the ad said black, then I think you should be entitled to return them.
