Where have I been?

Where have I been? Well, honestly I've just been busy and honestly haven't been a good blogger. I can explain though...

On Wednesday night I had a great dinner with my friend Debra I used to work with. We got to talking and lost track of time. I was so sleepy when I got home I didn't even open up the computer. I did read some of your blogs on my iPhone as I was falling asleep, but didn't write.
Thursday night I attended the Junior League of Arlington open house. I met so many lovely women and have wanted to learn more about Junior League for quite awhile. I have my interview set up for June 3, but I'm pretty certain I'll join. I've wanted to volunteer more and while it's great intentions to say I'll figure out where on my own, this is a way to get more involved in my own city and put some time and energy into my city. While you don't have to live in Arlington to join I do and think it's important to participate in your own community.

After the meeting I went to meet my husband and his friends at a microbrewery. His program he's been working on a work has been cancelled and likely he won't be working with this guys anymore. Some of them are good friends of course and they were having drinks to celebrate. So, I went to go meet them and have some dinner. And, can I just say it's kind of hard to find WW friendly food at a bar!

Last night I learned more about the wedding ministry at our church. Basically, any of you who are married or have been in a wedding know what they do. They're the volunteers who help get the church ready, open the doors for the florists, and assist the bridal parties in the lineup and timing during the ceremony. Well, let's just say there were a lot of disclaimers after last night's rehearsal from the ministry coordinator. Apparently the MOB was much more high maintenance than most. Well, I could have told you that! I've been in enough weddings to know a thing or two. And, this wedding was one of those I left wondering if anyone had ever been in one before.

OK, So now I'm off to the gym, going to walk a 5k again. We leave for AZ in a week! Yeah! And, I need to get some new shorts since mine don't fit and there's pretty much no way they will in a week! Have a fabulous weekend!
