TGIF

I'm so glad it's Friday, this has been such a busy week. Seems my company really needed someone in my position as I pretty much just jumped in and have been going ever since I got here six weeks ago. Hard to believe it's already been six weeks.

How is it that no matter how your weekend looks on a Monday by Friday it's full? I was relishing the fact that I had nothing on my calendar for this weekend and that it would be nice and quite and maybe I'd get to drive to Big D to the new Nordstrom Rack and do some birthday shopping. (I have gift money burning a hole in my pocket. Of course, because I have money to spend I won't find a damn thing. That's how it goes with me. No money, I find things I LOVE. Money, I suddenly become SUPER picky. Oh well.)

But now our weekend looks like this: (I am SO not complaining, just saying we're busy.)
Tonight: Dinner with the hubs for my birthday.

Saturday: Taste of Addison with some of hubs friends. OK, they're my friends too, but he's known them way longer.

Sunday: Church, as usual, and it's Mother's Day so I think we're going to invite my mom and grandmother over for dinner. His mom lives in Louisiana so we call her.

Somewhere in there I have got to do some laundry. I have SO much laundry to do. I mean, our second set of sheets never got washed from last weekend (Yes, I change the sheets every week without fail. I'm OCD like that.) So, now I'll have to wash both sets. Maybe I should just go buy a third?

I digress, my point was this, our very quiet, we have no plans weekend just got filled up in a blink. And somehow this always happens. We go on vacation two weeks from tomorrow and I'm so ready. I even bought a travel book today at lunch.
