I've been a bad blogger! I've been so busy trying to get all the tasks on my list completed before I go back to work that I've hardly picked up my computer in days. I did get confirmation today that I will have my orientation / first day on Monday! I'm so ready to get back into a routine. I do have a few more projects to tackle before then and I may be a bit scarce in my attempt to get them done.
Last night I went out to cheer for my husband's kickball team. We both played last season, but my knees were not happy about the running so I'm sitting this one out. He and two other friends of ours are playing on a corporate team that needed a few more players. Turns out that one of my mom's best friends from high school's daughter is one the team. We've known each other since we were little girls. Small world, huh? So, this team is super energetic but not many of them have played before. They are loving that these guys know the strategy. So, I'm sitting in the bleachers, watching our friend's dog, when one of the players says, "Our first baseman is awesome. He catches everything!" I knew she was talking about my husband, but I didn't want to butt in since I hadn't met them yet. Well, my friend overheard them too and told them I was his wife. They were so cute how they said "We love your husband!"
Later that night at the league bar there was karaoke. Well, my husband loves karaoke, so of course he got up to sing. Now, he has a fan club! Too funny, a couple of them came over and said, "Now we really love him!" Needless to say I was a proud wife last night! Isn't that a good feeling?
